St Alphege Sponsored Race 2019

We have opened registrations for the St Alphege Sponsored Race on Sunday 24th February at 11.30am. This is a 7.8 mile race for runners and cyclists from St Alphege Church, High Street, Whitstable, to Canterbury Cathedral. The finish line is inside the Christchurch Gate.

How to register

Online registration for the St Alphege Race can be found at Eventbrite. If you are registering more than one person, you will have a window of 60 minutes to complete your group entry.

Adults & children

The Race takes place at the end of the February half term. Adults and children are invited to take part as either runners or cyclists. Please note that all children aged 11 years or younger should be accompanies by a responsible adult throughout the race. Cycle helmets are compulsory for all participating cyclists.

Route marshalls: we can’t do this without the volunteers

The route follows pavements, roads and cycle paths – including the Crab & Winkle Way. The route is marshalled – last year we received excellent feedback on signage and marshalling and look forward to achieving the same positive response again in 2019.

If you would like to be part of our marshalling team, please contact Race Director, Jayne Bale at jayne.bale@hotmail.com with your details.
