New Priest in Whitstable

Rev Jack Greenhalf with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and Bishop Rose Hudson Wilkins

Our curate, Rev Jack, was ordained priest at Canterbury Cathedral on Saturday 2 July 2022 by Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, preached during the service.

It has been a privilege to welcome Rev Jack to the Whitstable Team during the first year of his ordained ministry, and we especially look forward to hearing many more of his excellent sermons!

“Its a privilege to be able to serve the parish in this way.  I am truly grateful for everyone's love and prayerful support”.

Having trained at Westcott House in Cambridge for 2 years, he continues his training in the Whitstable Team for a further two years.

In the Anglican Church, ordained ministers remain a Deacon, and now Rev Jack is a also Priest, he will be able to preside at Eucharist, pronounce absolution for sins and pronounce God’s blessing.
