Discover Whitstable's Lent Trail
This year, we've brought a new kind of Lent challenge to Whitstable, devised by Reader, Isobel Legg. You'll need a smartphone to access the full content of the Trail. Participants can follow the trail in any order. The St Alphege Lent Trail takes walkers on a two-mile circular walk to discover the secret gardens of Whitstable's churches and QR codes that link to a series of six videos that explore the environmental challenge of caring for God's creation.
Pick up the route from any point:
- St Alphege Church, Children's garden on Skinner's Alley
- St Alphege Infant's School, Oxford Street
- St Andrew's Church on Grimshill Road
- St Peter's Church Quiet Garden on Sydenham Street
- St Peter's Church House on Cromwell Road
- St Alphege Church, Prayer Garden.
On Good Friday, the final day of the Lent Trail, St Alphege Church is hosting a coffee morning in the Prayer Garden from 9.30 to 11.30am. We are looking forward to meeting walkers in the open air to reflect on their experience of the Lent Trail.
